Library Guidelines:
 

1.  Only members in good standing of The Chesapeake Bay Decorative Painters may borrow items from the library.  They may borrow two items for their personal use for a one-month period, or from business meeting to business meeting.

 

2.  To acknowledge acceptance of responsibility for the borrowed item, the borrower must sign and date a Rental sheet.  Librarians are not allowed to sign or date a Rental sheet for the borrower.

 

3. A “usage fee” of $1.00 per book will be charged at the time of rental.  A “usage fee” of $2.00 will be charged for DVDs at the time of rental.

 

4.  After a grace period of fourteen (14) days beyond the due date, an overdue fee of  $1.00 per month will be charged until the return or replacement of the item(s).  After the item(s) have been delinquent for a total of sixty (60) days or two consecutive business meetings the member will lose their MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING STATUS.  Any overdue fees or replacement charges must be paid before another item can be checked out and their MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING STATUS RESTORED.  For loss of an irreplaceable item, a commensurate fee shall be determined and imposed by the Executive Board of Chesapeake Bay Decorative Painters.

 

5.  Library property checked out must be for the personal use of the member only and must remain the responsibility of the borrower until it is returned to the library.

 

6.  For all mail transactions of books, members will pay first class postage.  When mailing hard cover books and videos, members will also pay insurance fees.  The postmarked date will be used as the date of return for items returned by mail.

 

7.  Fees paid to the library are to be used for the purchase of new items for the library.

 

 

DONATIONS OF BOOKS, MAGAZINES, VIDEOS AND OTHER ITEMS RELATED TO PAINTING ARE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED.
